Amazing, but it seems a fad this season.

Apparently the “hip” thing to do is to rent a stripper pole for Monday Night Football in 2009.

Why would guys want a stripper pole for Monday night football?

To keep the girls busy.

If you we’re like me in past relationships, as soon as the sound of the football game starts (you know the tune), I’ll be damned if that’s the exact time that the vacuum cleaner would start.

And sure enough she thought the first patch of carpet that needed to be cleaned, most desperately, was right in front of the television set.

So the irony of keeping the tarts busy during the football game has led to pole fitness and cackling hens over the incredible noise produced by my 12 amp vaccuum cleaner.

At least it keeps her fit.

Do I need to include how good the 1/2 time show will be?

Let’s see:
Monday Night Football.
Beers. (or whatever your pleasure)
+ 1.5 hrs
1/2 time show= drunken girls on the stripper pole you rented.
Back to 2nd half.
Girls go back to practicing.
End of Monday Night Football.
Now real party begins.

You still have the girls and the stripper pole and if you played your cards right–you should have tipsy girlies ready to show their stuff they’d been practicing while you and the boys were busy watching the game.

It’s a win/win for all.
